I was the child who played with dolls, babysat as a pre-teen, and always knew that someday I would be a Mom. Then, when I actually became one, it was so much harder than I was prepared for. As an introvert and highly sensitive person,
I felt overwhelmed.
I sought out solutions to help me manage this new role in life and the stress that I felt.
A few years after my first son was born, my Mom passed away. She was an amazing woman.
She was someone who had great empathy, showed strong encouragement for the people in her life and was a positive force in many people’s lives.
After she was gone, I realized I wanted to carry on her legacy by being someone who lifted up others.
Shortly after that I had my second son, and was reminded of the challenges (and joys) of having a baby. I realized I could share the knowledge I had been acquiring on how to manage stress and manage mom life.
I decided to create a forum to:
uplift and encourage other women, and especially Moms.
Calm For Mommy was born out of that desire to serve.
